Born October, 1999 Passed away April, 2012 Age 13 In May 2010, Allie began having upper leg pain which initiated concern, and on August 13th, 2010, was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer, known as Ewing's Sarcoma. Ewing's sarcoma is a malignant round-cell tumor. It is a rare disease in which cancer cells are found in the bone or in soft tissue. The most common areas in which it occurs are the pelvis, the femur, the humerus, and the ribs.
Passed away April, 2013 Age 3 The Johnsons finally took Joey for an MRI scan the day before Thanksgiving, where doctors discovered a malignant brain tumor. Joey was diagnosed with stage IV glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor most commonly seen in adults between the ages of 50 and 70. According to the National Cancer Institute, glioblastoma is characterized by rapid growth -- the prognosis often poor -- and accounts for 15 percent of all primary brain tumors.
Born with a birth defect called Cloacal Exstrophy, and Chronic Kidney Disease. Which he has had multiple surgeries to repair. He has also been on dialysis since May 2013. He will need a kidney transplant soon. He recently had surgery on his bladder. We currently live in NJ. His transplant center will be in Baltimore, MD. His blood type is A.
